When she finally was given access to her television earnings, she quickly spiraled downwards with reckless abandon. Anissa's drug problem would eventually claim her life. A deadly combo of cocaine, PCP, Quaaludes and barbiturates killed her at the heartbreakingly young age of 18. She had her whole life left to live but sadly she never got that opportunity. Her death cast a shadow over the feel-good show that entertained an entire generation of television viewers.
